Amex Blue

Overall Rating: Rating:

Sometimes rewards points are not the only benchmark to test a credit card. Everyone has seen the ads, Discover cards offer great travel rewards, but the extra perks of the Amex Blue card makes it my favorite. Sadly, you can no longer convert your reward points into Skymiles, but you can apply them to a discount on airfare when you book through American Express.
The Blue card by American Express is an excellent choice for a travel rewards credit card!
- No annual fee
- 0% APR for 12 months
- All hotel reservations made with the card are guaranteed or it is free
- Car rental loss and damage insurance
- $250,000 travel accident insurance
- Global Assist © provides 24 hour emergency assistance for medical, lost luggage, etc
- Fraud protection guaranteed – you are not responsible if the card gets lost or stolen
I carry and use this card personally and love the ease of making payments via the website while I travel. Luckily I have not had to use the lost luggage or car rental insurance yet, but it is good to know that I am covered if I need it. I have used the travel reward points to get free hotel stays as wells as just cash back credited to my statement.
American Express provides a report at the end of each year graphing and dissecting all your charges – making taxes less daunting for business owners.
Travel rewards credit cards are still credit cards – don’t let abuse or misuse negate your rewards!
